I live in Charlotte so Cinnaholic is about a 30 minute commute. I’ve heard great reviews so I wanted to try it for myself. You can create your own cinnamon rolls. The classic comes will vanilla frosting however you can choose from a list of frostings if you prefer for an additional cost and then add toppings to your cinnamon roll as well. I chose the banana cream frosting and added brownie bites.

Pros: My roll was baked fresh and was still warm when I got it. It was so delicious. The fat girl in me had to eat the whole thing. Some people say they are large but maybe I’m just greedy because it was just the right size for me. It was one of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had. Flavoring was perfect and I enjoyed the contrast of the banana cream and chocolate. It is really sweet so if you have a milder sweet tooth, choose the original. They also offer minis, brownies and cookies as well. They are plant based but that is not mentioned anywhere in the restaurant which I assume may be a way to not turn people off who have stigmas around plant based foods. They also have a rewards program that you can sign up for.

Cons: The distance if you live in Charlotte. The workers do not seem to have a cohesiveness about how they work. They offer free frosting samples so someone could have been passing out samples to move the line along. Instead they all seemed to be huddled behind the counter and my cashier yawned as she was taking my order and didn’t seem to be completely focused on work. She did apologize. I still gave a 5 Star because the roll was good enough to make up for that and they were giving out a free cookie with purchase.

Don't waste your time or money here. I was very excited to try this place. There was a line when we got there but it moved quickly. Then we waited almost 15 minutes for our rolls, while the 5 people who ordered after us all received their rolls. However, the most disappointing thing were the rolls themselves. We watched them pull ours out of the oven and they still tasted stale. No flavor to the dough part, almost no cinnamon flavor, and the caramel frosting had no caramel flavor. I have had better rolls from a tube labeled Pillsbury. If you want an amazing cinnamon roll that will remind you of what grandma makes go to Your Mom's Donuts in Matthews.
